Shakercon was a one-day mini science fiction convention held 20 May 1978 in Salt Lake City. As Saltcon had lost money, the organizers of Shakercon were trying to raise money to help pay Saltcon’s debts (and perhaps get enough money to run another convention). The name “Shakercon” is meant as a diminutive of “Saltcon.”
